Rita and Sienna had breakfast together at the Busy Bee Coffee Shop. Once they finished, they went to Atlanta to visit Bob at the hospital. Rita didn’t know how to tell Bob about Sienna, but she knew this would also lift a burden off of him. It has been difficult for both of them to keep this secret. They considered hiring a PI to help them find the baby, but they decided against it.

“Good morning, honey. How are you feeling today?” Rita asked as she walked into his room alone while Sienna waited outside.

“Hi darling, I’m ok. They just brought me breakfast,” Bob said as he wiped his face.

“I have a surprise for you,” Rita said, unable to contain her excitement.

“What is it?” Bob said, sitting up now. He loved surprises.

“Wait, I’ll go get it. I left it at the door.”

“I hope it’s not another corgi,” Bob said, laughing, but Rita knew he was hoping it wasn’t another dog.

Rita came back in, with Sienna trailing close behind her. His eyes widened as he took Sienna in.

“Is that her?” Bob said, looking at Rita and then at Sienna with his eyes full of happy tears.

“It is,” Sienna said as she approached Bob’s bedside.

They hugged, and Bob sobbed a little. The burden and guilt he felt must’ve been more than Rita imagined.

“I can’t believe I’ve been blessed to meet you, my daughter. Am I dreaming?” He asked, looking over at Rita, who was also in tears.

The emotions were so much. The three of them embraced and cried in sheer happiness. It was an amazing experience for them. They were a family. Rita and Bob had imagined what this moment would be like endless times, but this feeling was more than anything they could’ve ever imagined.

“How did you know I was your daughter?” Sienna asked as she took a seat on Bob’s hospital bed.

“It was just instinct. “ You got your good looks from me,” Bob said with a wink.

“As you can see, Robert is very modest,” Rita said with a laugh.

“I’m so happy to be here with you guys,” Sienna said as she held Bob’s hand.

The day shift nurse came to check on Bob. Sienna and Rita spoke with the nurse and were happy to hear that Bob was getting discharged tomorrow. They were ecstatic to hear Bob would be home in time for Christmas. The Christmas party wouldn’t have been complete without him.
